This movie is an adaptation from John Green's novel that published on January 2012. This movie tells us about story of a sixteen-year-old girl cancer patient named Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) that forced by her parents to join a support group. In the group, she meets Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort) and fall in love with him.
This hovie is heart touching with its story where two cancer patient fall in love with each other. The most of story is about Hazel and Augustus trip to Amsterdam to meet Hazel's favorite novel "An Imperial Affliction" author, Peter van Houten. That trip is not like what they hope. Even after the trip, Augustus' condition is worsen and he know that his life is not longer. One of most touching moments is when Hazel and Augustus' best friend, Isaac attending Augustus' pre-funeral where they give their eulogies. Augustus dies not long after that. Peter van Houten come to his funeral and meet Hazel to tell about his novel and give a paper to Hazel. That paper is Augustus' words about his acceptance of his death and his love for Hazel. The movie end with Hazel looking at the stars and remember Augustus.
